One more reason...

I have found yet another reason for me to go visit Japan. As many of you may know, I am a Roller Coaster enthusiast. I am taking a road trip this summer to hit a few theme parks to ride some sweet coasters out East. Now I find that in Japan, there is a roller coaster that is FOOT POWERED!! For reals, I have to go. Check out the article here...

The other pictures shown make this look a little intense for just a seat belt and a bike seat. I would be having the time of my life, having an asthma attack, and shitting myself scared all on one ride. I HAVE TO GO!!!

The Storm has come...

I had the opportunity to play a little Motorstorm for the PS3 last night. I had a terrific time with it. I wasn't very impressed with any of the launch games, but this one was almost blissful. Yes, the in game graphics look this good. It was hard at first, but as we figured out the physics, it became easier. It had the same sort of learning curve as Wipeout. I have heard they are going to make a PS3 version of the game. That would be awesome.

When all was sad and done, I finally have a reason to buy a PS3. If the games look this good now and are only getting better from here, the future of PS3 is bright indeed...

Movie update...

I have seen four movies in the past week and I just wanted to quickly tell you what I thought of them.

Wild Hogs - This movie is exactly what you would expect. Very run of the mill jokes with very few stand out performances. Was laugh out loud funny in some parts and very boring in others. Bill Macy is the stand out, of course. He made me laugh a lot. Maybe worth a rental. Don't waste your time in the theater.

Black Snake Moan - I was VERY impressed with this movie. Sexy, well acted, and beautiful to watch. An interesting tale that has just the right amount of the obscure without overdoing it. Jackson and Ricci are electrifying. Timberlake does very well, as well. I never saw Alphadog, so this was my first experience with him as an actor. I was impressed. Some day he and Mark Wahlberg will be superstars.

Zodiac - This is my vote for best film of the year thus far. An incredible cast plays this gripping drama out beautifully. Absolutely gripping storytelling kept me interested throughout the two hour, forty minute film. Fincher dialed down his usual visual flare and just tells a brilliant story about the lives affected by the Zodiac killer. An absolute MUST see.

The Number 23 - Again, nothing to great, just like you would expect from Schumacher. The acting is fine, the cinematography is fine, but the story is all wrong. It has WAY to many holes to be at all interesting. I HATE when directors feel the need to spell out the resolution in huge detail just to make sure even the largest idiot will understand. Worth seeing for the concept, but wait until it hits the video store.

Icicle madnes!!!

I don't remember it ever being this bad, but our roof has a tendancy to gather icicles. Look at them all!! It is insane!! I mean, look at the one in the middle. It is about three feet long!! Is this normal for people who have no gutters? I'm just wondering...

The winner is...

We have cast the role of Alice in Closer!! Her name is Emily and she is wonderful. I have worked with her on three other shows and her acting never ceases to amaze me. The show is going to be fantastic, folks. I hope to see all of you there come May.

Congrats, Emily!!!

All sorts of snow...

I don't think it is possible, no matter how much you bundle up, not to get wet when you go outside today. The snow is so deep!! I love it!! I haven't seen this much snow in this state for years. I just want to put on snow pants and run in it.

My temporary roommate moved out today. I now have the house to myself again. Kinda bums me out. I hope the house sells fast so I can have a roommate again. I missed having someone around to talk with all the time. Everyone cross your fingers and make a wish for my house to sell fast.

Plus, he has a cat. I miss having a cat. Siiigghhh...

Suddenly Winter...

The past two weeks has brought us more snow than I have seen in a few years. I am sure we had snow like this last year, but I can't remember. Maybe it is because this is the first real snow fall we have had all year? It is REALLY coming down right now and everything looks clean and white. That will all change in a few days, I'm sure, but right now it is glorious. I may have to go take a picture or two...

Too funny...

An old college friend of mine posted this pic on her blog. I can't tell you how cute, creepy, and hysterically funny this picture is to me. What do you think?
