Too much to watch...

I have an addiction. It is to taping shows on my DVR. Two years ago, I never really watched that much television because I was never around when the good shows are on. Since I have sucked from the teat of awesomeness that is DVR, I have become obsessed with MANY shows. Silly shows, comedies, dramas, you name it, I watch it. Ok, that isn't entirely true, but it seems that most of my free time has been dedicated to watching things on my DVR so it doesn't get full. I have a friend who has more than one just so they can tape everything. Man, that seems exhausting. I barely have enough time to watch all that I'm taping now!! I actually stopped a few shows. Ones that I am sad to have stopped. But it was just becoming too much. Ah well, I will more than likely catch up on them when the DVDs come out. That is if I can find the time to watch a DVD...

Playing Bacon...

So I have been cast as Lt. Ross in A Few Good Men performing this fall!! In the movie, this role was played by Kevin Bacon. Secretly, this makes me Kevin Bacon. I wonder how many people I can connect to with six degrees of myself? Anyways, I'm overjoyed to be playing this role. It's going to be pretty cool to act out cross-examination and leading witnesses and such. Plus, the show has a phenomenal cast, so it'll be amazing when it goes up. I'll let you in on more as the time goes on...

In a suit....

So today I get to dress up as the Easter Bunny at work. They bought a full on suit. Of course this isn't anything new since I was Chuck E. Cheese for my first job in college. The only thing that worries me is the fact that it's really tight in the butt. I'm scared I'm gonna bend down to hug a kid and my ass is gonna rip out of the costume. How crazy would that be. I'd ruin Easter for some poor child. Ah well...I guess we will see...

Jack & Rochelle

So I am in the really great new show called Jack & Rochelle which runs for the next three weekends at the Sabes JCC in St. Louis Park. It is an incredible true story about two people who meet, fell in love, and survived the Holocaust. Not exactly an easy play to watch, but very well done. The coolest thing is that Jack & Rochelle are still alive and live here. I have met Jack and Rochelle will be there for tomorrow's matinee. It literally brought tears to my eyes to meet the amazing man this story ACTUALLY happened to. He was a great guy. He loved the show. It really feels like I am doing something important. Not that all the other shows I do are not, but this one has a particular weight to it.

If you have an opportunity, you should come check it out.

Time for Rent...

I'm heading out the door shortly to see a friend of mine play Maureen in Rent. I have to say I'm pretty excited about it. I haven't seen the show in awhile and I hear this show is pretty darn good.

In other news, we are going to start the shows for the CSz high school league on Sunday. I'm very proud of my team this year. They have been doing an excellent job and they make me laugh so hard. I really love being a teacher. It really is one of the most rewarding things to do with my time. Plus, I feel like I am good at it. PLUS, it is teaching something I feel passionate about. All of things lead up to this past few months being hectic, but awesome.
